Why I Don't Need Therapy #467: I was in a play, much younger than I am now, and the audience was full of luminaries. It was supposed to be a Big Break. I had a quick change into something kind of like A.--My makeup had disappeared, I couldn't find the right shoes or stockings or wig, and there was my musical cue! I asked the asst. stage manager for a quick peek at the script-D. Completely on my own. "My baby don't care for you/my baby don't care boohoo/my baby just cares for--- I don't feel so well."
I got fired. Then I woke up, with this song stuck in my head all day. Don't call Dr. Freud. I don't need any of this explained.
